CHESAPEAKE, Va., Jan. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Cox Hampton Roads ispleased to announce that all Cox customers will have full access toHBOs exclusive Inauguration Special, "WE ARE ONE InaugurationCelebration", airing Sunday evening from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Cox 11.

The We Are One: The Obama Inaugural Celebration at the LincolnMemorialwill be available for free regardless of whether a customeris an HBO subscriber. Any Cox customer can simply tune to Coxchannel 11 for full access to the special. Cox HBO subscribers alsowill have access to the event on channel 150 or via HBO On DEMANDMonday, January 19 through Sunday, January 25.

Cox is pleased to offer HBOs exclusive event to all of ourcustomers for free on Cox 11, said Gary McCollum Vice President andRegion Manager. In addition, our On DEMAND allows HBO subscriberswho are unable to view the event live to watch it at theirconvenience by visiting channel 1.

The Opening Celebration for the 56th Presidential Inaugural willbe held on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial, on Sunday, January 18.The event will feature some of the biggest acts in the world ofentertainment. President-elect Obama and Vice President-elect Bidenwill both attend the event, which will be free and open to thepublic.

Musical performers scheduled for the event include Beyonce, MaryJ. Blige, Garth Brooks, Sheryl Crow, Renee Fleming, Josh Groban,Herbie Hancock, Heather Headley, Bettye Lavette, John Legend,Jennifer Nettles, John Mellencamp, Shakira, Bruce Springsteen, JamesTaylor, U2, Usher, will.i.am and Stevie Wonder. Among those readinghistorical passages will be Jamie Foxx, Martin Luther King III,Queen Latifah and Denzel Washington. The Rt. Reverend V. GeneRobinson will give the invocation. Rob Mathes will be the musicdirector and arranger for the backing band, which will support allof the artists. Additional performers will be announced as they areconfirmed.
